LorikuOS is a Desktop Linux operating system project developed for Timor-Leste users. This distribution is developed by Fundasaun Dezenvolvimento Software Livre (FDSL). Although it is still in its early development stage, this distribution is expected to grow in the number of contributors as well as supporters, we also expect to receive (financial) support from the government of Timor-Leste.

LorikuOS is developed by taking the base of Debian. Debian, is a computer operating system based on GNU / Linux distribution. The Loriku Project is an association of FDSL who have made common cause to create a free operating system and expected to use in whole country of Timor-Leste. This operating system that we have created is called LorikuOS. and distributed as free and open source software. LorikuOS provides up-to-date, stable operating system for the average user, with a strong focus on usability and ease of installation.
